- Unique data fields connected to each category. This allows you to connect as many of your own data fields to categories and their child categories as you like. Child categories inherit data field questions from their parents making management easier.
- Each main category (category with no parent category above them) can have its own category specific look and genre. Completely change the look of each category page or just the header area…complete flexibility.

Customization
- HTML template-based program allows for a truly customizable appearance for each page of the site.
- Categories and subcategories pages can have their own unique appearance. For example, you may want to change up the header of the "automobiles" category to show a collage of vehicles, but then show collage of electric devices in the header of the "electronics" category.
- Complete variable control over the auction display page to include fonts, colors, and fields. Place fields wherever you want them on the page.
- Add as many extra questions as you would like to the auction display page including blank text boxes, custom checkboxes and custom dropdown boxes. Optionally give the seller an "other" box to fill in if none of your dropdown values meet their criteria.
- Checkboxes save the seller time when placing their auction. They allow the seller to display certain features of their item very neatly and cleanly within the body of the auction. For example, in the automobiles category you can list typical auto features such as "automatic transmission", "cd player", etc. The seller clicks the radio button and that feature is automatically assigned to their auction…no typing!
- Complete variable control over all site text and backgrounds including text colors, fonts (including bold, italic, etc.), background colors.
- Can replace GeoAuctions standard buttons with your own buttons.
- Over 50 modules included that can be placed anywhere throughout your site to display different sets of data or perform distinct functions.

Fee-based Features

This allows sellers to advertise and give out their auction number to site visitors who have the ability to search by auction number. -A "My Favorites" page is offered to users who want to bookmark certain items for later viewing. When selected the item is added and saved to their "my favorites" list for quick reference. -Each auction has a "times viewed" counter which indicates the number of times that item has been viewed by site visitors. -"Thank You" email sent to user when an auction is successfully (active/live/approved if necessary after payment) placed. The information will contain basic information about the auction. -All emails sent to users are customizable within the page administration provided by the admin facility. -Admin can strip HTML from auctions by choosing the tags you want removed within the "allowed html" section of the admin tool.-Popup window for auction images on auction display page can be html template based and allow for you to designate a horizontal and vertical size (in pixels) greater than the size of the image.-Admin can implement up to 20 Site Wide Fields to be used on the during auction placement. These fields can be used to ask the seller various questions about the item for sale. If the seller fills in a question, it will be displayed on the Auction Display Page.-Seller can input a title to each photo uploaded. For example in the Real Estate category the seller may want to label their photos: Master Bedroom, Entry Hallway, Brick Fireplace, etc.-Ability to automatically display a "NEW" image next to each category and subcategory when an auction has been placed in that category within a certain time period designated by the admin.-Admin can allow users to have their personal affiliates page, which displays only that users auctions. The user has their own unique url to their auctions on your site and can post that url on their own site to redirect their visitors to their personal "storefront". The affiliate has the ability to load their own html to their personal affiliates page. Expiration of Auctions-If allowed by admin, user can choose during the auction placement, the number of days before the auction will expire. -Automatic email notification to users notifying them that their auction is about to expire. -Expired auctions automatically purge from the database after 30 days. -User can view their expired auctions in their personal password-protected account.-Auctions are removed from active status by the user or automatically upon expiration of auction.-Manually restart auctions as the administrator after expiration.-Auction renewal process. Email Alert Feature (Auction Filters)-Valuable feature that allows buyers to set up personal search criteria so that when an auction is placed by a seller that meets the buyer's search criteria, an immediate and automatic email notification is sent out to the buyer with a link back to the auction. The buyer may select which categories to filter and/or keywords that will be used to search the title and description of all newly placed auctions. -Users can set up as many search filters as they would like. -Users can log in to their personal account to view and delete their current auction filters. Personal Messaging System-Messaging system that logs messages from other users. Allows for public and private messaging. The user has three options to communicate with other users. -"Public Communication" exposes the user's email address to other users and opens communications to emails. -"Completely Private Communication" allows the users to communicate with each other through the GeoAuctions messaging system, but not through email. Users will login to receive and reply to all communications.-Ability to force users to log in before they can contact the seller of an item. Allows only registered users to be able to contact sellers.-Admin can select to have a blind copy of all "notify friend" and "contact seller" messages sent to the admin as well. Search & Browsing Capabilitie-Ability to deactivate the standard search page and insert your own customized search page. -Search page that allows for searches by category, subcategory, keyword, titles & descriptions, titles only, descriptions only, whole word matches, partial word matches, price range, and by auction number. -An enhanced search is available while browsing categories or auctions. In this case, category specific questions become searchable values. -User can choose to browse recently placed auctions posted in the last 24 hrs, one week, two weeks or three weeks. -Browse results tables can be sorted by clicking on the appropriate columns header. For example, Titles can be sorted alphabetically, or Prices can be sorted numerically, etc. -Ability to reverse sort desired columns. -Included Quicksearch box can be conveniently placed anywhere and on any php page. User Registration & User Group-Simple one page registration process.-Optional display of a "splash page" when user goes through registration process.-Ability to create as many user groups as you want. When a user registers they will have the option to enter a "promotional code" that you create. This allows you to advertise radio spots to some groups with one code, newspaper spots with another code, and etc. You can then assign a different pricing plan to each group. If the registrant does not have a code, they will be placed in a default user group/price plan of your choice. -Admin can distribute Discount codes that are attached to Groups so that users can enter specific codes to get discounts when they place auctions.-Optional email confirmation can be sent to confirm registration. If admin uses this approach, registration is not complete until the user clicks on the link within the email. This serves as a built-in email checker as well as a welcome message to the new registrant. -Optional immediate registration process where the user is automatically signed into their new account upon registration completion. -User facility within the admin keeps track of user's current auctions, price plan, auction credits, and other pertinent user data. -Admin can limit the number of auctions placed by users. -Ability to search the user database by username, last name, email address, company name, url, city, date joined, and more. -Ability to search for users based upon a registration date range or window. -Ability to display only suspended users. -Lost password routine emails the user's password to them. -Admin decides which registration fields are required and which are not. Email Communication Settings-Supports Sendmail on Unix servers. -Admin can send bulk emails to entire user database or to select user groups. -Users can email auctions to friends by way of a form that is accessed from each auction display page. -Advanced email settings to accommodate for different hosting requirements. International Capabilities-Ability for the admin to manually translate the entire site to as many languages as desired through the admin facility. -Currency tool allows for the display of multiple monetary prefixes and suffixes. Each sign and flyer can contain your site's logo and url, therefore bringing more visitors to your site simply from your sellers attempting to advertise their own items. -Admin automatically notified by email of new auction postings -Admin can log in to the front side and browse the auctions using his username and password.
